The new Rotkogel Gondola

More Comfort for Hochsölden

Since the beginning of the 2019/20 winter season, the new, state-of-the-art 10-seater gondola “Rotkogelbahn” has replaced the former double chairlift from 1986. The new gondola is an enormous boost in comfort, especially for our guests in Hochsölden. The valley station and the middle station are as before at "Eugen’s Obstlerhütte" and at "Sonnblick". The new top station is now next to the Giggijoch restaurant.

With the new gondola our guests reach the ski area around the Giggijoch easily, safely and comfortably. In less than 6 minutes! In particular, children and beginners can easily get to the beginners area.

Thanks to barrier-free entrances and exits, the gondola is also ideal for non-skiers, walkers, parents with prams, etc.

The new toboggan run with 7.3 kilometers

The longest toboggan run in Austria

Since December 2019, the Sölden-Hochsölden ski area has another attraction. The newly built, illuminated toboggan run leads from the middle station of the Gaislachkogelbahn down to Sölden. With a remarkable length of 7.3 km, it is one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria.

Thanks to the easy route and an average gradient of 12 %, the toboggan run is also suitable for families and less experienced tobogganers.

Every Wednesday, the fun is prolonged into the evening hours with night tobogganing. Ascent with the Gaislachkogelbahn I.

The new Winter Hiking Trail

Finally!

The beautiful winter hiking trail leads directly from the Hochsölden holiday resort through the wintry panorama of the Ötztal mountains. Step by step, accompanied by the sun and fantastic views, you will experience pure hiking pleasure.

The cleared winter hiking trail is the perfect alternative to skiing - for passionate walkers and nature lovers, but also for families with small children and all non-skiers.
